Release Notes — Week of July 6, 2026: Online Booking, Insurance Payment Tools, and a Smarter Assistant

By Clerie Team

This week's Clerie EHR release brings a more reliable public booking experience, powerful new insurance remittance (ERA) resolution tools, and expanded AI assistant reporting for mental health practices.

Online Booking & Client Self-Scheduling

  • Clients can now book with you through your public booking link with a smoother, more reliable flow — from link to verification to confirmation.
  • Confirmation emails for in-person sessions now include your office address plus a map link, and your success page shows clinic contact details.
  • Booking requests are now managed right from your calendar toolbar, with the queue refreshing automatically so you always see the latest requests.
  • You can assign a room at the moment you approve a booking request.
  • Calendar invitations are now withheld until an approval-required booking is actually approved, so nothing lands on your calendar prematurely.
  • Client cancellation is now a single, clear policy: no online fees, and late cancellations direct clients to contact your clinic. Client self-service rescheduling has been retired in favor of contacting your practice directly.
  • You're now notified whenever a client cancels through your public booking link.
  • Your practice's booking lead-time is now enforced for client self-scheduling, and double-booking protections have been significantly strengthened.
  • You'll see a warning before turning off booking approval, so you understand the scheduling risk.
  • One-click suggested booking-link names make setting up your Booking & Sharing page faster.
  • Public booking pages load noticeably faster.

Insurance Remittance (ERA) & Claims

  • A new Needs Attention view on Claims (Beta) surfaces remittances that require your decision, with quick Accept or Ignore actions right on the row.
  • When a remittance conflicts with payments you entered by hand, Clerie now holds the automatic posting and lets you choose to keep your entries, adopt the payer's, or reconcile — showing you the resulting balance for each option before you commit.
  • You can now accept a payer's code change to clear it from your review list, and see billed versus adjudicated codes side by side.
  • Amended and duplicate remittances are now handled correctly, including superseding a prior remittance and marking duplicates, so payments never post twice.
  • Payer takebacks and recoupments now reconcile properly against your ledger.
  • Unapplied insurance cash is now tracked as a first-class ledger state, so money is never silently unaccounted for.
  • A new acknowledgement backstop surfaces claims that are stuck in Submitted without a payer response.
  • New filters and summary counts help you work through your remittance list faster.
  • Downcoded and multi-line remittances now post their insurance payments correctly.

Billing

  • Procedure codes repeated in the same visit (e.g., with modifier 59) are now supported across all billing surfaces.
  • HCPCS service lines are now correctly submitted to the payer.
  • You can refile a paid or partially paid claim, with a clear warning first.
  • Self-pay copay edits no longer stack onto the self-pay charge, and bulk copay actions correctly exclude insured clients.
  • Clients can now view their own payment history in the portal, with session context shown on manual and invoice-linked payments.
  • Granular billing permissions are now honored across session billing-code screens.
  • Clearinghouse usage is now visible for all practices.

Calendar & Scheduling

  • Your saved default calendar view is now honored on both personal and clinic calendars, and your view is preserved across a browser refresh.
  • The event dialog now opens to the right tab for your role and remembers your last choice.
  • Your Default Event Duration setting is now respected when creating a session from a timeslot.
  • Availability shading and provider filtering in Week view are now accurate when switching between providers.
  • Recurring session pattern edits now reconcile cleanly, keeping rooms and details intact instead of recreating the series.
  • Room assignment now respects a permission-based access model and works for admin and billing schedulers.

AI Assistant & Reports

  • Ask Clerie can now create, update, and delete calendar events on your behalf.
  • New reporting answers include claim reject and denial rates, exact average days in A/R, and aggregated payer summaries — with more accurate money figures throughout.
  • Assistant responses now render tables cleanly and consistently.

Supervision

  • A pending badge in the sidebar shows outstanding supervision work at a glance and refreshes instantly after you approve or request edits.
  • Auto-advance signing moves you through your review queue with a clear "Reviewing X of Y" indicator.
  • You can now request edits on a note, and rejected notes can be re-signed without getting stuck.

Assessments

  • Custom assessment validation is stronger, with fixes to scale seeding, checkbox scoring, and coded-option scoring.
  • A guard now prevents accidental clinician overwrites of assessment responses.

Messaging & Security

  • Client messaging is now scoped to your caseload rather than the whole organization.
  • Group conversation participants are now properly scoped, and cross-organization access paths have been closed across settings, records, and the client portal.

Settings & Practice Setup

  • Malpractice insurance now saves whenever any field is filled, across onboarding, invitations, and profile edits — with coverage amounts stored exactly as entered.
  • Failed settings saves now retry automatically, and the "Last saved" status stays visible as you work.
  • Waiting Room and Transcription Language settings now correctly reflect on reload.
  • Weekly Schedule settings have a cleaner, easier-to-scan layout.

Train Clerie

  • You can now export and import your knowledge corpus, making it easier to move and back up the material that trains your assistant.
  • The sandbox is now a single, unified Ask Clerie-style panel.

Telehealth Reliability

  • Audio health detection now works consistently across browsers, and behind-the-scenes monitoring improvements mean faster detection of call quality issues.
