Release Notes — Week of June 22, 2026: Public Booking Links, PDF Exports & Smarter Client Billing
By Clerie Team
Clerie's latest EHR update brings Calendly-style public booking links, one-click PDF exports for notes and plans, and major client billing and claims improvements for mental health therapists and practice managers.
Public Booking & Scheduling
- You can now share a public booking link so prospective and current clients can request appointments directly from a clean, step-by-step booking page.
- Turn client self-scheduling on or off at the clinic level, or per therapist, with a simple master toggle in the new Booking & Sharing settings.
- Require your approval before a self-booked session lands on your calendar. Pending requests appear as outlined, tentative events and in a dedicated approval queue with the client's reason for visit and contact details.
- Approve or decline requests in a focused dialog, optionally assigning a room at the moment of approval.
- Clients can now reschedule or cancel their own appointments from the public link or portal, with clinic-level rules for late-window changes and optional fee acknowledgment.
- Public booking now requires email verification before a slot is held, and stale pending requests expire automatically so your calendar stays accurate.
- Timezone handling has been overhauled so visitors always see the correct day and time for available slots, no matter where they're booking from.
- Booking requests now surface in your dashboard's Upcoming sessions, and a booking-requests history view shows past approvals and declines.
PDF Exports
- You can now download a client's progress notes as a PDF, including manual export of draft or archived notes.
- Treatment plans and safety plans can now be exported as polished PDFs.
- Bundled note downloads respect your selected date range using your local calendar days, and honor a clear cap so large exports stay reliable.
- PDF rendering is faster and more dependable under load, with automatic retries when the system is busy, and dates always render in your own timezone.
Client Billing & Payments
- Client Pay now shows self-pay balances only, with separate Ready to Bill and Invoiced views and a balance-only filter to help you work the list faster.
- A new "Mark Not Billable" action replaces the old Delete/Not Billable split, resolving a session in one step.
- Account credits now appear directly on the client ledger, and prior payments are automatically re-applied when charges are rebuilt or edited.
- Splitting a case now moves the client's full case-scoped chart — notes, treatment plans, safety plans, intake records, billing configuration and assessment schedules — to the new case, and names the new case after the client.
- Automatic self-healing sweeps now catch and correct stranded self-pay payments and orphaned billing rows, so balances stay accurate without manual cleanup.
- Billing lists now show the real payer instead of "Unknown Provider" on unusual rows, and mixed self-pay plus insurance balances are no longer silently dropped.
Claims & Clearinghouse
- Claim status changes now flow through a single, consistent workflow engine, making submissions, ERA posting and status corrections far more predictable.
- Clearinghouse usage is now billed on a clear, separate monthly invoice, with a per-transaction breakdown, CSV export and a "Last billed" summary card.
- Usage that isn't billable yet now displays as "Free until" a given date rather than appearing as a charge.
- Insurance details on claim replacements now refresh correctly when you edit coverage in place, and the rendering provider appears properly on the CMS-1500 when a supervisor signs.
Supervision & Access
- Supervisors now automatically inherit access to their supervisees' clients and care teams, correctly scoped to just those cases.
- Supervisors can control whether their students may use AI-assisted progress notes, and that gate now extends to safety plans and treatment plans.
Messaging & Client Communication
- Select multiple recipients at once for messages, with new staff-level permissions and a Messages dropdown for quicker access.
- Staff with org-wide messaging permission can now reach clients outside their own caseload.
- SMS consent is now clearly tracked and displayed, including who recorded it on the client's behalf, with helpful, actionable messages when a client hasn't consented.
- Portal and intake link sends now report exactly which channels actually delivered, with a per-channel reason when one fails.
Clients List & Consent
- Your client list search and selected tags now persist in the URL, so refreshing or sharing a view keeps your filters intact.
- Search is more responsive and now targets names, emails, tags and IDs directly.
- New optional Tags and Payer columns are available, with insurance data properly gated behind the insurance permission.
- Preferred names now appear consistently across search, lists, calendar details and session prep.
- Consent PDFs are richer, with signature attestation and page numbers, and you can now download voided or imported consents reliably.
Assessments & Telehealth
- Assessment reminders now go out email-first without duplicate texts, and a pre-flight check warns you when a client has no reachable contact channel.
- Sessions with multiple clients now generate a unique telehealth link per client, so each participant joins with their own secure link.
- Whiteboard images shared during a session are now handled more reliably and stay out of the chat transcript.
- Video and audio now adapt to weaker connections for a more stable session experience.
