Release Notes — November 3, 2026: Smarter Service Line Billing and Steadier Telehealth Video
By Clerie Team
This Clerie EHR release brings per-unit rates and duplicate code warnings to session billing, more reliable camera switching in telehealth, and a smoother intake experience for therapists and mental health practices.
Billing Codes & Service Lines
- Service lines now accept a per-unit Rate alongside a read-only Amount, so your charge is calculated for you instead of typed by hand.
- Units are editable directly on the service line row and scale the charge automatically.
- If a typed total can't be divided evenly across a multi-unit line, Clerie now tells you rather than quietly rounding.
- Clearing a Rate shows you the $0 it will save before you commit to it.
- Service line headers line up with their columns, and the saving indicator now sits beside the Amount so you can see exactly what's being saved.
Duplicate Procedure Code Warnings
- Clerie now flags a repeated procedure code in the Billing Codes card as you type it, before it's saved.
- The warning appears as a clear tag with a tooltip that names the code it was counted under, so you can spot and resolve the overlap quickly.
Payments & Claims
- A payment aimed at a specific visit now pays down what that visit owes before applying anything as a prepayment.
- Collections no longer prepay a target while the visit still has an outstanding balance.
- Claim access is now properly restricted to authorized users on the client's record.
Supervisor Plans & Team Seats
- Clinics without a card on file can now choose the Supervisor plan, and the team's Add a card screen has a clear way back.
- Supervisors who don't see clients are no longer charged an AMA royalty.
- Therapist Seats now shows who has no access past the plan cutoff, with a short explanation of why.
- Change Tier now reflects plan availability accurately after the free-plan cutoff.
- Supervisors with an older invoice remain correctly listed on staff, and continue to appear as the rendering provider on claims where appropriate.
Telehealth Video
- Switching cameras is far more reliable: the previous camera is released before the new one opens, so picks no longer strand your video.
- Camera selections now hold steady across microphone changes, reconnects, and turning your camera off and back on.
- Failed camera switches are announced clearly instead of being reported as successful switches, and Clerie will retry automatically when a camera is still being freed.
Client Intake
- Questionnaire answers are now saved as your client progresses, and skipping a section is no longer treated as completing it.
- Clients are warned before leaving a questionnaire with unsaved answers.
- The card-on-file step is skipped automatically when your clinic isn't set up to store cards yet, and no longer flashes or hangs on "Loading...".
Reports & Reliability
- The Clients by Payer report now shows each client's own next appointment and reports payer details more accurately.
- Autosave now correctly tracks unsaved changes when you revert edits while a save is still in flight.
- Organization deletion is more resilient, processing accounts in the right order and handling payment-provider errors gracefully.
