Release Notes — October 29, 2026: Prepayments, Clearer Credit, and Bulk Note Approval

By Clerie Team

Clerie's latest EHR release brings a dedicated prepayment workflow, clearer client credit and balances across billing, bulk supervision note approval, and smarter calendar handling of cancellations for mental health practices.

Billing & Payments

  • You can now take a prepayment as its own action — collect money before a session and hold the full amount as client credit.
  • Starting a collection when nothing is owed now opens directly as a prepayment, and staff can take a prepayment that exceeds the client's current balance.
  • A prepayment made from a single charge line now settles the whole session, holding anything left over as credit.
  • Prepayments now clearly explain that account fees are paid first, and the form no longer resets while you're working in it.
  • Client credit is now shown accurately everywhere: balances, Self Pay rows, the credit column and collection dialogs all reflect only the credit that would actually reduce what the client owes, with clear guidance on how to move credit that can't be applied.
  • The client header now shows a true net position, so you can see at a glance where a client stands.
  • Collection now spends the right credit in the right order, so applied amounts match what you see on screen.
  • Transactions are now unified into a single tab shared by the Billing page and the client page, and declined, failed and unconfirmed card attempts are listed so nothing goes unnoticed.
  • Office admins can now refund a client payment directly from the ledger.
  • Payment details now show check numbers cleanly, include an "Other" reference where applicable, preserve older cash receipt numbers, and keep historical payments visible in history.
  • Clerie no longer displays a payment as made on your behalf when it wasn't, and duplicate or redundant credit notes have been removed from collection screens.

Supervision

  • Supervisors can now approve their supervisees' notes in bulk, saving significant time on review days.
  • Partially-selected lists now show a clear dash instead of a check mark, so you always know what's selected.
  • The per-supervisee page now lists only that supervisee's notes, and review queues filter correctly by therapist.
  • Offboarded supervisors no longer have access to supervision surfaces, risk alerts, or co-signing — keeping oversight accurate and secure.
  • Bulk approval now reports a clear "Network error" message if a connection is lost mid-approval.

Calendar & Scheduling

  • Cancelled sessions no longer count as scheduling conflicts, so you can rebook that time freely.
  • "Find next available" now correctly offers slots freed up by a cancellation.
  • Cancellation handling is now consistent across how sessions are hidden, displayed and scheduled.
  • Two different sessions are no longer merged together in your calendar feed.

Claims & Remittance

  • Statement verdicts now correctly separate your practice's own uncoded share from the payer's portion.
  • Cleared zero-dollar rows no longer alter a statement's verdict.
  • Dismissing or moving a claim now safely locks the encounter first, preventing conflicting edits.
  • An ignored statement now halts the full sync rather than only part of it, so nothing is processed on bad data.

Storage & Records

  • Your practice now has a storage allowance based on seats, with a clearer, more compact storage tile and usage meter.
  • Daily storage history now distinguishes measured, zero and unknown days, and overage figures are clearly labelled as estimates.
  • Historical record panels and search indicators now update live while work is in progress.

Reliability

  • Live-updating areas of the app now refresh more reliably and keep polling as you navigate.
  • Receipts for practice payments now go to your clinic's current practice email address, handled directly through Stripe.
