Release Notes — October 21, 2026: New Clinical Performance Reports and Clearer Transaction Tracking

By Clerie Team

Clerie's latest EHR update brings new Retention and Time to Appointment reports, a more detailed Transactions report, and smoother billing for mental health practices. Practice management just got clearer for therapists and counselors.

New Clinical Performance Reports

  • A new Clinical performance section in Reports gives you two new views: Retention, which shows how consistently clients stay engaged in care, and Time to appointment, which shows how long clients wait before being seen.
  • Clients with a visit already under way are no longer counted as drop-offs, so your retention numbers reflect who has genuinely stopped coming.
  • A client added and seen the same day correctly shows a zero-day wait, and each wait is measured in a single consistent time zone.
  • Archived clients are measured consistently so an archived status alone doesn't skew your retention picture.
  • Reports load faster thanks to a lighter session lookup behind the scenes.

Transactions and Revenue Reporting

  • The Transactions report now shows where money on a client's account came from, so you can trace credits and prepayments at a glance.
  • Money landing on a client's account is now labeled "Added to account" for clearer, more accurate language.
  • Voided refunds are now consistently named "Refund reversed" across both Transactions and the Revenue drill-down.
  • The Client paid caption now correctly describes refund reversals as an addition rather than a deduction.
  • Older fee codes are now categorized properly as fees, so historical transactions roll up correctly.
  • Transactions now states exactly which portion of insurance activity it's showing, and its explanation has been shortened to just what your clinic needs.

Billing and Plans

  • Entering a card at Checkout now immediately lifts a billing lockout when you return, so you can get back to work without delay.
  • Your billing status refreshes right after a plan purchase or seat change, so what you see is always current.
  • If a payment method is refused, you now get a grace period — including for claims — before access is affected, and you'll be prompted to replace the card before choosing a plan.
  • You'll only be offered a plan once your free plan has ended, and a plan you just purchased won't be offered to you again.
  • No more brief promo-code flicker while your billing status loads.
  • Free-tier seats, billing status, and any holds are now scoped to the specific clinic you're working in, so multi-clinic users aren't affected across practices.

Administration and Access Control

  • Practice owners can now manage their clinicians' plans directly from the paywall.
  • A new Edit User option is available on the admin users page for authorized administrators.
  • Authorized admin staff can now manage clinic trials and billing exemptions.
  • Revoked Clerie access now takes effect immediately — permissions are checked live on every administrative screen.
  • Administrative directories no longer surface client records, and research staff are correctly counted as staff.
