Release Notes — October 18, 2026: Clearer licensing fees and smoother staff invitations
By Clerie Team
Clerie's EHR update brings a redesigned licensing page, clearer billing notices, and a faster, more reliable staff invitation flow for mental health practices.
Licensing & Billing Clarity
- The licensing page has been redesigned to lead with a clear explanation that licensing fees are an external requirement, not a Clerie charge — so you can explain costs to your team with confidence.
- Your licensing roster now shows each clinician's length of access, making it easy to see what you're being billed for and why.
- The amount shown in Settings now always matches the amount announced in your 7-day advance notice — no more surprises on the charge date.
- Fees that fall on the same day now enter their notice window together, and former staff are labeled honestly on your billing surfaces.
- Billing dates are now consistently shown in UTC across every screen, and balances that are due immediately read simply as "Now."
- Owners now see a clear note that the daily billing run collects anything that's due, and automatic collection is only promised for balances we'll actually attempt.
- Balance messaging is now accurate when you have a mix of payable and stuck charges, including a clearer notice when a card is declined.
- Licensing callouts have a cleaner look — white cards with a tone-colored accent — so important messages are easier to spot.
Access Warnings You Can Trust
- Lockout warnings now follow the end of a clinician's therapist role rather than their overall account, so you only see warnings that actually apply.
- No lockout warning appears for a clinician whose access ends before the charge date, or for charges that have already passed.
- Access windows are now calculated by calendar day for more predictable results.
Staff Invitations
- You can now accept a staff invitation using Google sign-in.
- If you're already signed in with a different account, Clerie will prompt you to sign out before continuing with Google — preventing invitations from landing on the wrong account.
- Accepting an invitation now fully refreshes the app so your new role and permissions are visible right away.
- The accept button now stays in a loading state until the next page is ready, so you'll never wonder whether your click registered.
- If you step away mid-invitation and return, you'll be brought back to the invitation instead of being sent to sign-up.
Admin & Reliability
- Cancelled clinics now correctly show $0 in monthly revenue reporting.
- Simultaneous sign-in attempts during an invitation can no longer split a new hire's account across two profiles.
- Additional testing now verifies the annual billing cycle end-to-end with Stripe.
