Release Notes — October 17, 2026: Google Sign-In, File Attachments, and Smarter Reporting

By Clerie Team

Clerie's latest EHR release brings Google sign-in for clients and staff, file attachments in messages and homework, new service-code reporting filters, and a long list of reliability fixes for therapists and practice administrators.

Sign-In and Account Access

  • You and your clients can now sign in with Google, with a faster sign-up form for staff and a smoother path from the login page to sign-up when no account exists yet.
  • If an email address belongs to both a staff member and a client, Clerie now asks which account you'd like to use — and choosing your clinic dashboard takes you straight there.
  • Accepting an invitation onto an existing account no longer interrupts your onboarding or Getting Started progress.
  • Clients invited as staff now receive their own separate staff account, keeping client and clinician access cleanly apart.
  • Office admins who were removed from a practice can be re-invited onto their original account.
  • Cancelling a sign-up now returns you where you started and clears any saved draft, and sign-up safely resumes without errors flashing on screen.
  • Several access-control hardening fixes, including blocking unsafe login redirects and preventing anyone removed from a practice from starting a new one or reusing an existing email address.

Messaging

  • You can now attach files when composing a broadcast message to your clients.
  • Clerie now tells you up front when a composed broadcast won't be sent to anyone, so you aren't left guessing.
  • Attachments sent at the same time no longer overwrite each other, and attachment names are easier to read in your own sent messages.
  • A dropped connection while writing a broadcast no longer discards your work by reopening a blank message.

Homework and Action Items

  • You can now attach files when assigning homework directly from the session page.
  • Quick Assignment keeps its attached files if something goes wrong mid-way, and retrying is safe — no duplicate assignments.
  • Client selection is locked while an assignment is saving, and Clerie is clearer about whether a failed assignment was actually created.
  • Progress-note to-dos are now dated by the session's local day, so your task list lines up with your calendar.

Sessions and Notes

  • Session pages are now titled with the participants and time, making browser tabs and bookmarks much easier to tell apart.
  • Navigating to a participant from a session no longer risks losing an unsaved note.
  • When a newer recording exists, its draft is offered right beside the note and the banner always points to the latest recording, so you're never signing a note based on stale content.

Telehealth

  • The recording indicator has been removed from the client's screen for a less distracting session, while clinicians continue to see clear recording notices — including clinicians who join late.
  • Mute and unmute actions now reliably take effect even under heavy activity, and failed re-sends are reported instead of silently dropped.
  • Improved stability so rapid pause/resume activity from one participant can't slow down the session for everyone.

Billing, ERAs, and Insurance

  • Unmatched ERAs in billing now look the same for every member of your billing team, with claim numbers on held payments shown as clear links.
  • Stronger verification before releasing held payments, including stricter duplicate detection and evidence checks, plus a list of clinics with outstanding holds.
  • Payment take-backs and their corrections are now tracked together and accurately, so your reconciliation reflects what the payer actually sent.
  • Insurance permissions now correctly exclude offboarded staff.

Reports and Analytics

  • You can now include or exclude specific service codes and apply filters across every report, with clear messaging that excluding a code only affects those lines on Revenue and Write-offs.
  • Analytics now count only sessions that have actually taken place, include offboarded clinicians, and show real data for practices with only upcoming appointments.
  • PDF exports are cleaner: claim numbers and dates no longer split across lines, and signatures print in a script font with a polished layout throughout.
