Release Notes — October 16, 2026: Smarter Supervision, Shareable Reports, and Faster Client Details

By Clerie Team

This Clerie EHR release brings a new supervisee Clients column, safer report sharing, clearer insurance navigation, and click-to-copy client details — practical practice management upgrades for therapists and mental health teams.

Client Records

  • You can now click to copy a client's name, date of birth, address, phone number, or email directly from their chart — no more highlighting and retyping when filling out forms or verifying coverage.
  • Sample clients are now hidden consistently everywhere they appear, so your real caseload is always what you see.

Supervision

  • Supervisors now see a Clients column listing each supervisee's active clients, following the same rules as the client chart.
  • The Risks column now counts only genuine open risk alerts and gives you a breakdown of what's driving the number.
  • Approving an alert from the Risk Alerts card instantly refreshes the Risks column, so what you see is always current.
  • Shared cases are counted once, and demographics and treatment-length figures now describe exactly the clients shown in the Clients column.

Risk Alerts

  • Documentation review alerts are now clearly separated from risk alerts — they can no longer be approved as risk alerts and no longer clutter a supervisor's Risk Alerts list.
  • Documentation notices now reach only the person they're addressed to, keeping each case's scope clean.
  • Cleaner layout for the Show all control, now on its own line beneath the filtered-empty message.

Reports & Analytics

  • You can now share reports with colleagues who don't have Analytics access, and see a count of shared reports they haven't opened yet.
  • The share list puts colleagues who can be selected first, greys out those who can't, and flags anyone without Billing access — with a one-line explanation of the rule.
  • Reports containing financial data can no longer be shared with colleagues who lack Billing permissions.
  • Hiding a column now also hides its total and previous-period total, and shared reports send only the columns they were saved with.
  • "Shared with" counts now reflect every share, and saved-report access holds up even after a report changes.
  • Days in A/R for past month-ends is now labelled as estimated and calculated consistently with today's figure — one encounter per visit, using the ledger as it stood.
  • Period-over-period comparisons now compare only the days elapsed in a custom range, and explain why Billed and Allowed can read higher in an earlier period.
  • Visit reporting now picks each visit's newest encounter correctly across batches, and voided encounters properly adjust closed periods.

Insurance & Billing

  • The Payers tab now lives under Insurance, where it belongs, and the summary row loads on every Insurance tab for consistent context.
  • Enrollment rows now display the EDI payer ID your clinic actually recognises.
  • Refund handling is safer: refunds are pre-checked against the real limits before any money moves, and only a genuine card refusal counts as a decline.
  • Every reversal event now reports a single, consistent funding figure.
  • Removed the Refresh and Export Report buttons from the Insurance header to reduce clutter.

Billing for Clinician Seats

  • Clinician seat charges now only count real clinical use — sample clients, automated reminders, and sample treatment plans never trigger a charge, and only a clinician's own signature counts as note evidence.
  • Account locks now apply only when there's no card on file or a card is declined; a refund leaves the charge marked paid.
  • Settings now clearly shows and quotes any outstanding balance even when no clinicians remain, and departed-clinician debt displays as due and payable.
  • Payments stuck in extra authentication can now be retried on a new card.

Session Recording

  • You're now prompted for microphone access before recording starts, so sessions don't fail mid-take.
  • Replacing a take no longer produces a stray note from the discarded recording, and each take-over is clearly named with its own recording.
  • You'll now get a clear prompt if a recording can't be read, and recordings opened on another device are no longer reported as errors.
