Release Notes — October 13, 2026: Reliable Mid-Session Mic Switching, New Revenue Audit Reports, and Faster Treatment Plan Reviews
By Clerie Team
Clerie's latest EHR update brings dependable audio capture when you change microphones mid-session, new revenue and write-off audit reports, and a smoother treatment plan review workflow for therapists and mental health practices.
Session Recording
- Changing your microphone in the middle of a recording no longer drops audio from your note — the new device starts capturing before the old one is released.
- If your microphone is unplugged or stops unexpectedly, your recording is processed right away instead of being held, so your note is never stuck waiting.
- A microphone that was disconnected can be selected again to resume capture once it's reconnected.
- Your microphone selection is respected — a change in your computer's available devices will no longer override the mic you picked.
- Pause now cleanly cancels a microphone switch that's still in progress, and moments of lost audio are flagged as soon as they happen.
- The microphone picker only confirms a switch when one actually occurred, so you get accurate feedback.
- Preparing your recording no longer slows down the rest of the app, and a recording that fails to start is immediately released so you can try again.
Billing & Payments
- Clerie invoices are now charged to your practice's current card on file, and any outstanding balance is automatically collected when you update your default card.
- Payment handling is smarter: a temporary processing issue with Stripe is retried automatically, while a genuine bank declination is not — and an unknown charge is never misreported as a refusal.
- Uncollectible invoices continue to block access as expected, voided invoices skip the card check, and an out-of-date block now clears itself automatically.
- A sent secondary claim that's moved back to Draft is now correctly recognized as already filed when you replace it, with clearer warnings for claims still in the queue.
- Clarified claim status language: a clearinghouse rejection never reaches the payer, so rejected claims are no longer described as held.
Analytics & Reporting
- New Revenue and write-off audit reports give you a clear, verifiable breakdown of what your practice earned and wrote off.
- Allowed amounts now correctly net recoupments against the right payer, so a same-payer secondary claw-back no longer understates your Allowed totals.
- Money from archived sessions stays attributed to the clinician who delivered the care.
Treatment Plans
- You can now review a pending treatment plan directly from the client's Treatment tab.
- Feedback is now optional when you request edits to a plan, so you can send it back quickly when no notes are needed.
- Review controls are clearer: importing is disabled while a plan is under review, a view icon appears on items awaiting review, and clinicians can't review a plan on their own record.
- After a review is completed, the session page updates automatically and the specific revision you opened is clearly identified.
Admin & Support
- An optional Birthday column is now available on the admin users table for quick, display-only reference.
- Support requests now correctly route alerts to the right recipients before the request is saved.
