Release Notes — September 25, 2026: More accurate insurance payments, smarter assessments, and safer scheduling
By Clerie Team
This Clerie EHR release improves insurance remittance accuracy, adds skip logic to substance-use screeners, and prevents invalid appointment times — helping therapists keep practice management clean and reliable.
Insurance & Claims
- Duplicate remittance notices are no longer counted twice, so your payment totals reflect what you were actually paid.
- Payments that haven't been verified yet are no longer shown as paid, giving you a more honest picture of outstanding balances.
- Remittances that can't be matched to a payer are now clearly marked as unattributed rather than being misfiled to the wrong practice.
- Fixed an issue where the claims worksheet could display client information beyond what you needed and could credit a payment to the wrong claim.
Notes & Sign-Off
- Signed progress notes now display the name of the person who actually signed them, so your documentation record is always accurate.
- Note sign-off is now tied to the signed-in clinician, adding an extra layer of protection around your clinical records.
Consent Forms
- Clients now sign the exact version of the consent document they were shown, even if the form is updated mid-session.
- Consent details are captured the moment a client opens a document, so nothing is lost if they step away before agreeing.
- If a consent form is left open in an old browser tab, clients are now prompted to refresh before continuing.
Assessments
- The AUDIT screener now skips the remaining drinking questions when a client reports they don't drink — a shorter, more considerate experience for your clients.
- Skipped items no longer count toward completion or appear as selected answers, so results stay accurate.
- The progress bar and the item count beside it now always agree with each other.
- Added clinician guidance explaining when the AUDIT skips questions and how that affects the total score.
Scheduling & Recurring Appointments
- Appointments can no longer be saved with an end time that falls before the start time — across every place an appointment can be created or edited.
- Intake interviews are held to the same rule, preventing invalid interview times.
- Recurring series now reject edits where the end date comes before the series begins, and empty recurrences are detected more reliably.
Security & Access
- The activity feed now only shows records for the clinic you currently have selected, with filter options scoped the same way.
- Access is now refused if your role isn't active in the clinic being viewed, keeping cross-clinic information properly separated.
Copy & Clarity
- Intake wording no longer promises client portal reminders that aren't sent.
- Communication preferences during intake have been rewritten to be clearer for your clients.
