Release Notes — September 15, 2026: Clearinghouse Provider Settings, clearer ERA messaging, and friendlier notifications
By Clerie Team
This Clerie EHR release gives mental health practices more control over clearinghouse enrollment contacts, clearer ERA and billing messaging, and more reliable notifications and client intake — all designed to keep therapists focused on care instead of paperwork.
Clearinghouse & Enrollment
- Your clearinghouse settings now live in a single, clearly labeled Clearinghouse Provider Settings dialog that saves and closes in one step — no separate edit mode to remember.
- You can now change the person payers write to for your practice, and the contact shown on screen is exactly the contact we send to Stedi.
- If a contact is missing, we fall back to your organization's resolved address and tell you plainly when a save is only partially complete.
- Background refreshes no longer wipe out what you're typing, and the most recent provider information always wins — even when responses come back out of order.
- A failed registration no longer disturbs your saved enrollment contact, and we only report the clearinghouse as updated when it truly was.
- Removing a clearinghouse registration is now a clear menu action rather than a buried setting, with a cleaner, roomier provider dialog layout.
ERA & Payments
- Payer take-backs that matched but never reversed now close out their recovery rows correctly, so your reconciliation stays accurate.
- Unmatched payer take-backs now surface a clear signal instead of passing silently.
- Retry and apply actions no longer fail unexpectedly, and on-screen messaging now describes exactly what an action will do — no more promises the system can't keep.
Billing
- The diagnoses lookup now works correctly for the billers it was designed for, so claim preparation goes smoothly.
- Therapist cost is now handled as an explicit decision rather than an automatic side effect, giving you clearer control over billing outcomes.
Notifications & Client Intake
- Notifications now use a client's preferred name correctly, without repeating a surname.
- Welcome emails are sent at most once, so new clients aren't greeted with duplicates.
- If a welcome link could apply to more than one clinic, it now asks which one instead of failing.
