Release Notes — September 5, 2026: Steadier Telehealth Sessions, Clearer Billing, and Smarter Payroll Exports

This Clerie EHR release brings more reliable telehealth sessions, cleaner invoice and payment workflows, improved analytics reporting, and faster payroll exports for mental health practices.

Telehealth Improvements

• Video sessions now track who's present more accurately, so participants no longer appear stuck online after they've left.
• Handing off the host role during a session is more dependable — including when participants join from different network locations.
• The takeover control now reliably restores session control when something goes wrong mid-visit.
• Session recording now follows the host role rather than a specific participant's connection, so recordings stay with the right person.
• Ending a session now cleanly closes it out — a session can no longer reappear after it's been closed.
• If someone has been removed from a session, that decision now sticks even if they attempt to reconnect.

Billing & Payments

• You can now jump straight back into a paid invoice from the client payment view, making it easier to review what was paid.
• The Invoice action no longer appears on entries where it couldn't succeed, so you won't hit avoidable errors.
• Zero-balance invoices are now clearly labeled at a glance.
• Write-off handling is safer: outdated write-off information is now rejected outright instead of quietly disappearing.

Payroll

• Payroll exports now offer preset pay periods, so you can generate common date ranges in a click.
• Exports now use a single consistent time reference, keeping totals accurate across time zones.

Analytics & Reporting

• The Financial Overview now shows its own loading state, so you can tell the difference between data loading and no data.
• If a financial summary fails to load, you'll now see a clear message instead of a misleading blank row.
• Granting Analytics access to a biller now actually works as expected, and Export Data permissions are applied consistently throughout the page.

Access & Reliability

• Permissions now end when a team member's membership ends, keeping access tightly aligned with your roster.
• Users who aren't yet part of an organization now see a clear, purpose-built screen instead of an ambiguous state.
• A temporary connection hiccup no longer takes down a page that's otherwise working fine.
